When a computer item deals with a privacy issue, France imposes to receive a favourable notice from the CNIL (French Authority for Data Protection and Civil Liberties).

This Commission is an independent body in charge of maintaining the respect of human identity, privacy and liberties in the digital world.

Several French actors in the organisation of the elections have heard about our OAdeo solution and naturally recommended us to their decision makers.

BlueKrypt met thus with the CNIL in June 2013 to present the various characteristics of the verifiable electronic ballot OAdeo.

During this meeting, we noticed that our product was meeting the requests of the institution in charge and consequently could be used on the French territory. When the CNIL is informed that an election is proposed with OAdeo, they will grant a favourable notice to the organisers.
