In the framework of the yearly coordination meeting of the TRUEDEV project (financed by the Walloon Region in the GREENTIC programme), we had the opportunity to come back on the evolution of the BYOD trend.

The trend was confirmed in 2014 and companies are now facing a sensitive raise in IT security risk. As TRUEDEV aims, among other things, at easing the securing of BYOD tools, it must remain in line with the market evolution. The technological choices made by the project are reinforced at the light of the behaviour of the big Internet stakeholders. As an example, we can mention the announcement by Microsoft that the FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) technology will be supported from the start in their OS (version 10). This is a technology reinforcing the user’s authentication in a mobility framework.
